Attribute search takes a long time

Symptoms :
Attibute searches (searching by name or address for example) take a long time.

The application will normally warn if a search is going to take a long time (i.e., the search will return more than 300 records). However, the search sometimes fails to warn and the application may lock up for a long period.

Cause : There is a bug in the application that causes the search warning not to appear.

Resolution :
Try to narrow down your searches by using more specific criteria. For example, don't search by 'smith', instead try using the full name, such as 'mary smith'.
