Governor Ted Strickland announced Wednesday, April 30, 2008 that J. Bernie Quilter, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas was appointed to a three year term on the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board for the State of Ohio.

New Requirements for Travelers Between the United States and the Western Hemisphere

Clerk’s Office Ready to Help...
As part of its efforts to strengthen border security, the Department of Homeland Security and State Department will soon require passports for people traveling to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico, Canada and the United States. As a result, Lucas County Clerk of Courts Bernie Quilter wants to make sure the public knows his offices are ready to help them prepare for the new policies.

New Telephone System Installed In Clerk's Office

The Lucas County Clerk of Courts has installed an ACD (automatic call distribution system) in its Civil and Criminal Divisions located in the main courthouse. This system should allow the clerk’s office to better handle the volume of calls it receives daily from individuals doing business with our office.
