The Board of Lucas County Commissioners and Gateway Consulting have set the date and
time for the first public forum on the design of the new ballpark. At this meeting
Mud Hens fans will be able to express their views on what they would like to see
in the new Lucas County ballpark.
On Wednesday, February 15th 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the
SeaGate Convention Centre the public will get an overall update on the project
from Gateway Consulting and get the chance to meet the architectural team led by
HNTB Sports Architecture.
The county commissioners want the public to express
their views about topics such as food choices, children’s activities, family and
business services, public art and architecture, and the surrounding ambiance in
the Warehouse District – before the architect begins the ballpark design.
Free parking will be available in the Port Lawerence
Parking Garage at St. Clair and Jefferson Streets, as well as free, on street
parking adjacent to the SeaGate Centre. Anyone who has an interest in how the
new downtown ballpark will be designed is urged to attend.
