The Recorder's primary responsibility is the indexing, recording and maintaining of land records and other miscellaneous documents. These would include mortgages, deeds, power of attorneys, release & assignment of mortgages, liens, leases, uniform commercial code filings (UCC'S), military discharges and surety bonds to name a few.
The mission of the Recorder's Office is always to maintain the integrity of the public records that the office is charged with preserving. The ability to provide this information to the public in a way that is swift, accurate, economical and friendly is always important.
